Rays reinstate OF Jake Mangum from injured list

The Tampa Bay Rays reinstated outfielder Jake Mangum from the injured list Friday and optioned outfielder Chandler Simpson to Triple-A Durham.
Mangum, 29, has been out since April 23 with a left groin strain. After making his major league debut March 30, he was batting .338 with seven RBIs and eight stolen bases in 21 games.
Simpson, 24, made his major league debut April 19 and was batting .285 with 11 RBIs and 19 stolen bases in 35 games. Simpson had a hit in seven of his past eight games with eight steals in the stretch.
